Many famous tourist attractions are on Vietnam’s currency notes. These include the VND 500,000 bill, the highest denomination, which features a thatched house inside a museum dedicated to the late President Ho Chi Minh in Kim Lien Village, Nghe An Province.

The VND 200,000 bill features Ha Long Bay, which also used to be on the former VND 10,000 paper note.

The VND 100,000 note has Hanoi’s Temple of Literature, the country’s first national university, which hosts a variety of cultural events every year.

The VND 50,000 bill has Phu Văn Lau, a historic pavilion in the ancient city of Hue.

The VND 20,000 bill features the 400-year-old Chua Cau (Japanese Pagoda Bridge) in the ancient town of Hoi An.

Smaller notes carry more modern sites like Hải Phong Port (on the VND 500 note), a textile factory in the northern province of Nam Dinh (VND 2,000), and Tri An Hydro power Plant in the southern province of Dong Nai (VND 5,000).

The VND 10,000 note has the Bach Ho Oil Field, situated 145 kilometers off the southern beach town of Vung Tau.
