A market for street vendors has opened at Pham Van Hai market (on Phạm Văn Hai Street) in Saigon’s Tan Binh District.
The stalls will be open daily from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
Some 20 households have been licensed to run businesses there, helping reduce the encroachment of pavements by street vendors.
It is expected that more such places will be set up in other districts to help the business of street vendors, who were recently ordered off the city’s pavements.
